The result of the study showed that in pre-test 28(46.66%) primi mother had inadequate knowledge, 30(50%) primi mother had moderate knowledge, 2(3.34%) primi mother had adequate knowledge and in the post-test knowledge score 48(80%) primi mother had moderate knowledge, 12(20%) primi mother had Adequate knowledge. The post-test mean score (16.35) was high when compare to the pre-test mean score (11.05). And the obtained “t” value 17.23 was greater than the value of df 59 which was p<0.05 level (2.00) of significance hence the formulated research hypothesis H1 was accepted. and the null hypothesis H01 rejected The test revealed that there was no significant association of knowledge with selected socio-demographic variables such as Age, and there was significant with association with religion, education, occupation, family, monthly income, previous knowledge, were found significant at <0.005 level of significance.
