Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) has gained significant attention in pediatric dental care due to its holistic approach and potential advantages. As the demand for non traditional therapies grows, CAM presents a wide array of treatments designed to supplement conventional dental care while addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of oral health. This review delves into different CAM practices, including herbal medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, probiotics, and mind-body therapies like yoga and meditation. These modalities are explored within the context of pediatric dentistry, focusing on preventive measures, pain management, anxiety reduction, and the treatment of oral conditions such as dental caries and periodontal diseases. While these therapies show promise, challenges remain in integrating CAM into pediatric dental practice, such as the need for scientific validation, regulatory frameworks, and professional acceptance. This review aims to provide an in-depth overview of CAM in pediatric dentistry, highlighting its potential benefits, challenges, and future directions for clinical implementation.
