Digital image forensics has become a crucial field in identifying and combating digital media manipulation, particularly copy-move forgery, where parts of an image are copied and pasted to hide or duplicate certain elements. This form of image tampering is widely used in criminal activities, media manipulation, and online misinformation. Detecting copy-move forgery is a challenging task as the manipulated regions often retain the same characteristics as the original image, making them difficult to distinguish without advanced forensic techniques. This paper explores various approaches and algorithms designed for the forensic detection of copy-move forgery in digital images.
