Oxidative stress is an imbalance between the production of oxidants and antioxidants in the body, which can be involved in the onset and / or development of chronic kidney disease, causing the disease to progress to other complications such as: diabetes, atherosclerosis or hypertension. Hemodialysis is characterized by an increase in oxidative stress due to the loss of antioxidants during dialysis. The aim of this work is to present the modulation of oxidative stress in chronic kidney disease patients with different physiopatological conditions.
